For everything made by man's hands has a form, which must be either beautiful or ugly; beautiful if it is in accord with Nature, and helps her; ugly if it is discordant with Nature, and thwarts her; it cannot be indifferent.

What makes good design? I often think about this as I begin my process of bringing ideas into tactile form. If we take lessons from textile designer William Morris, it's simple - design for harmony.

Harmony is beauty.
I believe we can apply this idea to all aspects of life as we strive towards our own beautiful existences.
